Continuous glycerol esterification: a new cutting-edge plant by CMBernardini in Western Europe

Another new project in this crackling start of the year. And once again we would like to highlight its importance from the point of view of environmental and corporate sustainability. This is a pre-treatment plant for the continuous glycerol esterification, awarded by a IIG Biodiesel production company in Western Europe.

The continuous glycerol esterification plant requested by the customer, represents the state of the art for this specific type of pre-treatment. Designed with the most advanced technology available, it will be made and assembled entirely within the CMBernardini workshop, taking full advantage of the know-how and quality of Italian excellence.

This new project fits perfectly into the concept of circular economy so strongly requested by the global market, which aims at sustainability by minimizing waste and scraps.

The constant research and implementation of new solutions by CMBernardini’s R&D Dept.  made possible to design a system with increased efficiency and the maximum possible flexibility. The plant, in fact, can handle an extremely wide range of low-grade feedstocks.

This technology represents a considerable advantage both in terms of ecological sustainability and in terms of rationalizing company’s resources, because this means to be able to use the largest part of the low-grade feedstocks already produced by other internal processes or, alternatively, to find the most convenient and profitable materials on the market at the time.
